The Sump Alarm WiFi Retrofit Kit adds remote alarm notifications to your existing septic, sump, grinder pump, or lift station control panel without replacing the entire panel. It is designed for panels that already have a local alarm but no way to notify you when you are away from the property.

How the WiFi Retrofit Kit Works
The Wi-Fi module mounts inside your existing control panel and connects to the panel's alarm circuit using a dry contact input. When a high water or power loss condition occurs, the module sends notifications by email, text, or phone call so the right people know there is a problem even when they are away from the site.
The included relay kit allows panels that output a 120V alarm signal, such as those with an existing beacon or buzzer, to be converted to the dry contact input required by the Wi-Fi module. This makes the kit compatible with a wide range of existing panels without any modifications to the panel's core wiring.
Once installed, the kit connects to your existing 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and reports alarm status through your account at www.sumpalarm.com. Email alerts are included at no additional cost. Voice and text message notifications are available for $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year.
How to Configure the WiFi Retrofit Kit
The kit has one key wiring decision before installation. Identify your panel's alarm output type before you begin.
Step 1: Identify Your Alarm Output Type
Dry Contact Input (Direct Connection)
If your panel has a dry contact closure, relay output, or auxiliary contact, connect the two wires directly to the Wi-Fi module's contact input terminals. There is no polarity on this input.
Best for: panels with a float switch wired to an alarm relay, panels with a dry contact alarm output, or direct float switch connections.
120V Alarm Signal (Relay Kit Required)
If your panel outputs a 120V signal when an alarm condition occurs, such as power to a beacon light or buzzer, use the included relay kit to convert that signal to the dry contact input required by the Wi-Fi module. Do not apply voltage directly to the contact input terminals.
Best for: panels with an existing 120V beacon, buzzer, or horn that activates during an alarm condition.

Is This the Right Product?
Choose the WiFi Retrofit Kit if:

✔ Your panel has a dry contact alarm output or a 120V alarm signal output
✔ Your panel has physical space to mount the Wi-Fi module inside
✔ You have a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network available at the installation site

Do not choose the WiFi Retrofit Kit if:
✘ You do not have a reliable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network at the installation site. If Wi-Fi is unavailable or unreliable, see the SeptiSense™ Retrofit Board, which adds both Wi-Fi and cellular monitoring and can operate on cellular only with no Wi-Fi required.

The WiFi Retrofit Kit is commonly used to add remote monitoring to residential septic control panels, grinder pump panels, sump pump panels, lift station alarm panels, and any existing local alarm only panel where the owner needs to receive notifications when away from the property. It is also used on third-party panels from other manufacturers that have no built-in remote notification capability.
